Here you will find various bits of trivia, clips, quotes, screen shots and fan works related to the greatest TV show ever made.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I never wanted to be here
I never wanted to know the things that I know or do… to do the things that I’ve done
You know, I’m only on the 2nd disc of season 4 and I already know these two are going to break my heart. There are moments when I pity Londo and then there are moments when I just want someone to punch him in the face.
And there are those bits when I want both at the same time.
“I never wanted you in that hole” he says to Vir, but does he really mean it? He says in the same breath that he envies him, and continues to use him, because he knows Vir will stay.
Vir suffers terribly under the weight of his conscience and Londo does not seem to suffer nearly enough. He passes his sins onto Vir to bear for him, and Vir allows him to do it and forgives him because that is his nature.
What was any of it for?
(I haven’t finished the series yet, but I think little Vir may have a few surprises, and may well turn out to be one of the strongest of the ensemble, a sort of Neville Longbottom with bad hair…)
“What’s wrong with you, is you. Your heart can no longer bear the weight of your conscience.”
“There’s nothing wrong with my conscience.”
“No? Then turn around.”
“Why should I? I saw my death in a dream, I was an old man. How do I know I will not survive this? Perhaps this will pass, and I will get better, the dream is prophecy.”
“Prophecy is a guess that comes true, when it doesn’t it’s a metaphor. You could put a gun to your head tomorrow and pull the trigger and then the dream is just a dream. The prophecy is just a metaphor. And so are you.
You’re out of time, Londo turn around!”
“I can’t, I don’t know what he wants from me.”
“Yes you do. The thing that has eaten away at your heart until it could not endure the pain a moment longer. You must let go of this, or you will die here, alone, now.”
“Perhaps, perhaps that is for the best then…”
“No. Not for the best.”
“…why not?”
“Because… I will miss you.”
“and I suppose… that I would miss you…”
I don’t understand?
Nor should you.
Babylon 5 - Favourite Scenes [1/?]
Londo, G’Kar, Vir and Timov, at the end of things.
I just got to use this gif in an rp. I think I win life
Babylon 5
Londo Mollari “Nibbled to dead by cats!”
Perpetual Vir Wave.
Because I just needed another Vir Cotto appreciation post.
Images from And All My Dreams, Torn Asunder, aka the one where it all goes to hell for the Centauri. I love the closeness between Londo and Vir that just pervades the entire episode, the way Vir never leaves Londo’s side and tolerates all of his outbursts because he knows that’s just Londo’s way to channel his frustration. Vir is such a tower of quiet strength and encouragement here, putting aside all of his own worries just to be there for Londo, and I love him dearly for it. Vir really is the best kind of friend a person could have. *hugs him tight*
